CATALOG RECOVERY SERVICE TERMS
Effective September 9, 2026
1. Scope
The Founding Catalog Recovery Session covers one customer-authorized local catalog root containing up to 10,000 supported audio files, one guided setup and report-review session of up to 60 minutes, one scan or resume attempt, the stated catalog reports, and seven calendar days of email support after delivery.
2. Deliverables
Expected deliverables are a local searchable SQLite catalog, CSV and JSON inventory, SHA-256 exact-duplicate groups, available embedded metadata and technical fields, a corrupt/unreadable-file issue report, and a checksum scan receipt. Delivery depends on readable source storage and a supported local environment.
3. Source safety
The application is designed to open source audio read-only and does not delete, rename, move, retag, repair, or overwrite source audio. The customer is responsible for maintaining an independent backup and for avoiding unrelated file changes while a scan runs. No software or storage medium can be represented as risk-free.
4. Customer authority
You represent that you are authorized to scan the selected files and receive the resulting catalog. Do not provide passwords, transaction-capable credentials, or material you are not authorized to process.
5. Limitations
Exact duplicate means byte-for-byte identical based on SHA-256. Similar performances, alternate exports, transcoded files, and files with different embedded tags are not exact duplicates. The service does not decide what to delete, establish copyright ownership, give legal advice, repair audio, correct tags, or guarantee a particular duplicate count or storage saving.
6. Timing
Scan time depends on total bytes, storage throughput, file condition, operating system, and computer availability. The guided session may begin a resumable scan that continues locally after the call. Any delivery estimate is confirmed during intake rather than guaranteed by this page.
7. Support
Seven calendar days of email support covers installation, one scan or resume attempt, opening the catalog, and interpreting included report fields. New features, audio repair, metadata correction, reorganization, additional roots, ongoing monitoring, or custom integrations are outside this fixed scope.
8. Refunds
Cancel before the guided session for a full refund. If the tool cannot produce a readable catalog on the supported system and no usable report is delivered, request a full refund within seven calendar days. A completed usable catalog is not refundable solely because it finds few or no duplicates. Nothing here removes non-waivable consumer rights.
9. Ownership and license
You retain ownership of your source audio and customer-specific report content. Massive Magnetics retains ownership of its pre-existing software, methods, schemas, and general know-how, subject to the repository's stated open-source license. Payment does not transfer third-party rights or establish rights in source recordings.
10. Privacy
The Catalog Recovery Privacy Notice applies. Audio upload is not required. Local catalogs and reports can contain sensitive filenames, paths, metadata, and hashes; the customer controls their storage and sharing.
